NUR 3304 Collaborative Strategies and Cultural Aspects in Nursing and Healthcare
This course examines collaborative strategies and interdisciplinary teamwork within the healthcare arena, emphasizing the importance of diversity and cultural values. Students will explore various areas of healthcare, including practice issues in ancillary services, marketing, legal, and management, to enhance team approaches to patient and family care. A comprehensive review of cultural diversity will include religion, age, geography, language, class, race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation. Learners will apply strategies to improve interdisciplinary practice and analyze how cultural diversity influence interactions with patients and families, enabling them to better respond to diverse situations in their own practice.
