Exceptions

CalSouthern students who believe they have extraordinary circumstances that warrant an exception to University academic or program policies may file an exception request with the University. Before filing an exception request, students should discuss their request with their advisor. All relevant facts and supporting documentation must be included in the request which, is submitted to the University for consideration.

The current California Southern University Catalog is the source document for University policies that may be addressed in an exception request. Some policies may require an exception request to be filed within a specified timeframe and will be noted as such within this catalog as applicable.

Denied exception requests may be appealed within 14 calendar days from the original decision date. The appeal decision is final.
