PSY 8803 Doctoral Comprehensive Examination - AP
The Comprehensive Examination assesses students’ integration and application of foundational knowledge, psychological theory, research, and competencies developed throughout the Doctor of Psychology in Applied Psychology (PsyD-AP) program. The examination requires students to synthesize doctoral-level knowledge, critically evaluate psychological concepts and research, and apply psychological principles to complex issues and real-world, non-clinical settings. Successful completion of the examination demonstrates students’ readiness to progress to the doctoral project phase of the program.
Students are permitted a maximum of three attempts to successfully complete the Comprehensive Examination course during their enrollment in the PsyD program. Students who do not successfully complete the course within three attempts will be dismissed from the program.
