Academic Program Course Schedules (Sequence)
CalSouthern programs are designed to progress learners through the program by following specific course sequences that increase in complexity and are cumulative to prepare the learner for further coursework. Learners are pre-registered for the courses required in their respective programs according to the established program course sequence. Electives are also pre-registered in learner schedules and learners may work with their Academic Advisor if they want to change elective selections. Any courses requiring pre-approval will not be pre-registered and, instead, will be added to learner schedules following the receipt of the approval as required within the degree program. Registration requests for courses out of the sequence order must be approved by an authorized academic official. Any courses requiring prerequisites must have all prerequisites met before starting the course.
See the Add/Drop Period section of this catalog for additional information regarding timing for schedule changes.
Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology Course Schedules
The PsyD-CP is a cohort-based program, and learners are expected to progress through the curriculum in a lock-step sequence. As such, course extensions are not possible. A learner who does not successfully complete a course by the end of the term will receive a failing or unsatisfactory grade and may be unable to continue with their current cohort. Please refer to the Course Scheduling section of the PsyD-CP program page for additional details.
Prerequisites
All prerequisites are listed in respective Course Descriptions in this catalog. A prerequisite course must be satisfied in a term prior to enrollment in a course that carries the prerequisite.
